Clothing

• wool or synthetic jacket

• wool or synthetic pants

• warming layers

• Base layers (merino preferred)

• gloves

• Warm hat or beanie (I prefer a wool beagle style wide brim hat)

• Hunting boots (expect boots to get wet)

• Socks (wool or synthetic)

• Rain gear (jacket and pants)

• Face mask or neck gaiter

Hunting Gear

• Rifle or bow

• Ammunition or arrows (way to carry ammunition)

• Hunting license and tags (waterproofed)

• Binoculars (optional)

• Rangefinder(optional)

• Hunting knife

• Field dressing kit (optional)

• Game calls (if applicable)

• light Backpack or hunting bag (I prefer waist packs)

Safety Equipment

• First aid kit

• Orange safety vest and hat

• Whistle

• 2 fire starting methods

• Flashlight or headlamp

• Multi-tool or knife

• emergency blanket/bivvy

• water purification tablets

• Water bottle or hydration pack

• Snacks (trail mix, energy bars)
